Define the task and test conditions
Ask a participant to answer a concrete question or complete one interaction, such as inspecting a feature or comparing two placements. Explain what is illustrative and what is verified. Use the intended device and environment when practical, and record where the test differs from the planned production setting.
Write a simple success criterion before the session. A user finding the right view without assistance is more informative than saying the experience looks impressive. Include the information they need afterward and a conventional alternative for comparison. Do not turn a small usability session into an unsupported claim about sales or training impact.
Observe friction and provide alternatives
Watch how people discover controls, reset a view, read instructions and leave the experience. Record loading problems, orientation confusion and any task that requires assistance. Test keyboard operation and readable labels where the chosen interface supports them. Give participants a way to pause or use the alternative when motion or interaction is uncomfortable.
Review what happens on a narrow screen, a slower connection and a device that cannot support the experience. The alternative should convey the essential information rather than simply apologize for unavailable technology. Measure task completion separately for each format and keep the conditions visible when comparing results.
Make a production decision with limits
Group findings into content problems, interaction problems and platform dependencies. Fix the issue that prevents the user’s task before adding more scenes or visual effects. Recheck the affected task after a material change. Keep a record of the participants, conditions and unresolved limitations alongside the prototype.
Decide whether a simple view is sufficient, a revised prototype is needed or broader production is justified. Confirm asset permissions, target devices and specialist capacity for the next phase. Do not label the experience as a precise survey, safety simulation or certified training tool without the separate validation those purposes require.
