Inventory source material and accuracy

List available models, reference photographs, textures, dimensions and captured media. Record their format, source and intended use. Distinguish an illustrative model from a measured representation. If a task depends on physical fit or exact scale, identify the required verification instead of treating an attractive preview as measurement evidence.

Check whether the material suits the target device and interaction. A detailed source model may need preparation for web use; a captured scene may omit views the task requires. Document missing material early. The prototype scope should state what exists, what must be adapted and what must be created separately.

Confirm permission for each intended use

Identify who owns or licenses the photos, video, models, textures and brand elements. Record whether permission covers editing, public web display, commercial use and distribution on the chosen platform. An asset being available in a folder does not establish permission to publish it. Resolve unclear rights with the owner before production.

If a capture includes identifiable people, private interiors or information in the background, review what can be shown and obtain appropriate authorization. Prepare an alternative when permission is unavailable. Keep rights records with the asset inventory. This planning guide does not replace legal review of a license or consent requirement.

Separate prototype and production work

Name the scene, interaction and target platform included in the prototype. List capture sessions, new modeling, additional scenes, specialist work and hardware separately. Confirm access and capacity before promising dates. A prototype using existing illustrative assets and a production experience using custom assets have different dependencies.

Prepare fallback images and descriptive text from approved material so the purpose remains understandable without the immersive interface. Agree on asset delivery, storage and future updates. Preserve provenance when using generated imagery and do not present an illustrative scene as a photograph of an actual client project or location.
