Begin with the audience’s question

Write what a person should understand or do after the experience. They might inspect a product from several angles, compare placement or practice a defined interaction. Ask whether a photograph, diagram or ordinary video already answers the question. Spatial presentation should have a specific purpose beyond attracting attention.

Identify where the audience will use it: at a desk, on a phone in a room or in a supervised headset session. Check connectivity, device access and any assistance they need. A technically impressive format can be a poor choice if the intended user cannot open it or follow the instructions.

Compare formats with clear limits

A browser 3D model can support rotation, simple configuration and inspection on a screen. A captured tour represents an existing place through recorded views. Each depends on suitable assets and navigation. Neither automatically provides accurate measurements, real time simulation or the behavior of the physical product.

AR adds digital content to a view of a real environment on supported devices, while VR presents a virtual environment with its own interaction requirements. Verify the specific platform and target hardware before committing. Extra capture, modeling, specialist work and hardware belong in an explicit scope rather than an assumed prototype package.

Try one interaction and an alternative

Prototype one scene or product with one interaction, then ask users to complete the intended task. Observe whether they understand the controls and whether the experience answers the question better than the simpler format. Record confusion and device failures as evidence, not just favorable reactions.

Keep useful content available through images, descriptions or specifications for people who cannot use the spatial view. Review motion preferences, keyboard access and readable guidance. Choose broader production only after checking usefulness, asset rights and operating requirements. A prototype is a decision aid, not a guarantee of sales or learning outcomes.
